This innovative course opens the door which leads you into a new career as a Yoga Therapist. Designed for qualified and self-motivated yoga teachers it gives you vital skills and prepares you to confidently develop your own therapeutic practice. Yoga Therapy offers all people, especially those experiencing a wide range of ailments or disabilities, the guidance and personal tools that they can use to enhance their life. Most importantly it is now fully recognised as a valid practice of complementary health care.

Developing one to one assessment and teaching skills
Hands on bodywork using Ayurveda and Touch For Health
Anatomy and physiology related to specific health conditions
Study of mental/emotional health and illness to understand emotions
Study and practical use of subtle energetic models
Developing intuition and deepening personal practice
Pranayama, Meditation and Mantra Yoga
Yoga as a spiritual practice
The course includes a weekend residential retreat to deepen and develop your practice.
Some of the workshops relevant to this course are open to other committed yogis.
This exciting course is one of very few UK trainings in the growing area of yoga therapy and it aims to impart key yoga therapy skills. The training provides a balanced mix of theory and practical work, with an emphasis on viewing the client holistically so that you can empower your client to focus on total well-being and not just the health issue. Importantly, you will also be encouraged to develop your own personal holistic style and confidently devise yoga therapy programmes which meet your individual client's needs.
David will be your main tutor. He is the director of the Inner Healing School of Yoga and he is totally committed to the school's philosophy of delivering Yoga therapeutically. He is a practising Yoga teacher, therapist, and healer and has been practising Yoga for over 23 years and teaching Yoga and training teachers for 12. He has worked with emotionally disturbed children with learning difficulties and also those with autism. He has also led seminars in Stress Management at the University of Northampton and has worked with large commercial organisations.
The sessions are usually held once a month on a Saturday. There will be a few sessions where we meet on both Saturday and Sunday.
